Four years after the launch of Kurokinosawa Farm, we won the 5S Month Grand Prize, which was one of our farm's goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
5S is an improvement activity aimed at solving problems in the workplace by making work easier by focusing on only what is necessary for the job through organization, tidying, cleaning, standardization, and discipline.
Each month, each department carries out 5S activities and a grand prize is awarded to the best department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The activity that won the grand prize was cleaning the deodorizing equipment.
A deodorizing device is a system that purifies the smell from a pig house by passing it through a filter.
In this activity, we replaced the water circulating inside the device.
The tank that holds the circulating water is about 15 meters in size.
It took about 8 hours to completely change the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At Kurokisawa Farm, deodorizing equipment has been installed in all eight pig houses.
I am currently changing the water little by little.
There are 5 buildings remaining.
There is a long way to go, but I intend to work hard and plan my progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
