At Tategamori Ark Farm, we raise two types of sheep, but most of them are the Suffolk breed.<\/p>\n

\nThe Suffolk breed is a breed of sheep with black heads and feet that is also a cartoon character.
\nIt is native to Suffolk, England.<\/p>\n

Most individuals have pitch black faces, but there are rare individuals with whitish faces.
\"\"<\/p>\n

This is not a disease, but to put it simply, it is a ``personality''.<\/p>\n

Originally, the Suffolk breed is a large meat breed created by crossing the native Norfolk Horn breed with the Southdown breed to produce high-quality lamb meat.<\/p>\n

The Norfolk Horn is a breed with black heads and limbs, and as its name suggests, it has horns.
\nSouthdown is a small variety with a white head and limbs, but has good flesh.<\/p>\n

When you think about this, it doesn't seem strange that some individuals are sometimes born with pale, whitish faces.
\"\"<\/p>\n

Furthermore, on extremely rare occasions, individuals with horns may be born.
\"\"\u3000\"\"<\/p>\n

By the way, white-faced lambs seem to be hereditary, and if the mother is white-faced, the lambs will often also have white-faced skin.

\nThe sheep started giving birth last month.<\/p>\n

The first lambs born this year were twins with a black face and a white face (^^)

\nOnce the weather warms up a little more, the lambs will be allowed to graze with their mothers to see how they grow.<\/p>\n

When you visit, please take a look at the white-faced, horned, and ``individuality'' of the sheep.<\/p>\n
