Eggs laid in a free-range environment with roosters at a rate of 5% or more among hens are fertilized eggs. It is difficult to raise chickens in ordinary cages, but since the environment is free-range and the roosters protect the hens from predators, there is little stress, so you can lay healthy eggs with peace of mind.
Japanese breed suitable for free range
After searching for a breed that is suitable for free-range and has a stable supply, we ended up with the "Okazaki Ouhan" chicken native to Japan. A large chicken breed with beautiful plumage with black and white stripes. The shell is brown, and despite its size, it has a high percentage of yolk, and the white flesh is crisp, giving it a reputation for its rich sweetness and richness. You can feel the umami the most when you eat it with egg over rice, and you can clearly see that the richness and umami are different from other eggs.

Ark Tategamori's "Traditional Eggs" are delicious and safe, thanks to our meticulous attention to the feed we give our chickens. We pay close attention to the feed we give our chickens. To prevent the inclusion of genetically modified crops, we implement a consistent "segregated production and distribution management" system from production to distribution, and we use "post-harvest free" ingredients, meaning no pesticides are sprayed after harvesting. Furthermore, by blending in herbs grown on our farm, we enhance the chickens' immunity and eliminate the characteristic odor of eggs. In addition, we do not use any antibiotics or other medications to ensure they are raised healthily. Because they are fed carefully selected feed, bask in the bright sunshine, and consume natural food such as grass and insects, as well as organic minerals from the earth, Ark Tategamori's chickens are very healthy. This dedication to raising chickens has been recognized, and we have obtained JGAP certification under the challenging conditions of free-range farming.
*Imported feed often has pesticides sprayed on it after harvest (post-harvest treatment) to prevent pest and mold infestation during transport, and there are concerns about pesticide residues.

At the ranch, you can also experience “picking eggs”.
