Hello, I'm Kobayashi Minato, Poultry Manager, Agriculture and Livestock Department.
This time I would like to write about how chickens behave in the fall and what to be careful of when raising them.
The hot summer is over and autumn has arrived. I think it's a more comfortable season for the chickens. The chickens were hot until recently, but now they're calm and enjoying their days at a leisurely pace.

The next thing I pay attention to is air conditioning. I'm particularly careful about it. At a time like now when the seasons are changing, there are big temperature differences and the weather is unstable, so I change the way I manage the chickens each day. I'm also particular about ventilation; instead of keeping the cage closed all day, I ventilate it during the day to let fresh air circulate, and I manage it every day to always create the best environment for the chickens. It's going to get colder from now on, so management will be more difficult, but I'll do my best to do whatever I can to help the chickens.
