It's getting cold, how are you all doing?

My name is Nakazawa from Fujisawa Farm and I am serving as the vice-chair of this year's 5S Activities Committee.

This year, committee members are introducing the activities of each department on their blogs.

Now that my turn has finally come, I would like to introduce Fujisawa Farm.

Fujisawa Farm is the farm that produces the well-known "Tategamori Highland Pork."

It's a historic farm, but on the negative side, there are so many things that make you wonder, "How long have we not used this?" or "What is this anyway?" (lol)

In November, we removed the hoses that were covering the ground as shown in the photo, as this room is where the washing machine is kept.

I did the same thing last year, but just hanging it on a hook meant it would end up in the same state after a year...

This year, I secured a hose long enough to reach the pipes, then bundled the rest of it together with a cable tie and hung it on a hook!

This year's committee theme is the 3UPs: "Increase Safety," "Increase Efficiency," and "Increase Hygiene."

Fujisawa Farm's November activities include...

This activity has achieved all three goals: "Safety is improved" as there are no more hoses that people can get caught on; "Hygiene is improved" as the floor is visible and it is easier to clean; and "Efficiency is improved" as it is now possible to instantly identify which hoses belong to which machines, which previously had to be traced in order to find them.

There is only one month left until the end of 2025.
