It's now the season when the dogwood tree-lined road is at its most beautiful.

Along the approximately 10km Tategamori Plateau Road connecting Hanaizumi and Fujisawa, the white and pink flowers of the Japanese dogwood trees have begun to bloom, creating a refreshing landscape reminiscent of early summer.

This dogwood tree was planted about 36 years ago on this land, which was then state-developed farmland, with the desire to "create a lush green Tategamori." The previous president loved dogwood trees, so he planted them along the roadside, with the dream of one day creating a flower-lined avenue.

Over the years, the trees have grown larger little by little, and now they are part of the landscape that beautifies the area around the ranch. The road to creating the ideal tree-lined avenue is still long, but the dogwood trees, which change their appearance with each season, delight visitors.

At this time of year, the white and pink flowers sway gently, adding a touch of color to the early summer landscape. When you visit Tategamori, be sure to take a look at the Cornus kousa Road.
