Now, on August 8th and 9th, the annual "Fujisawa Noyaki Festival" will be held in the local Fujisawa town.
Many stalls and food trucks will be exhibiting, and Ark Tategamori will also have a booth.

The Noyaki Festival was held in 1976 under the guidance of archaeologist Hanjuro Shiono, featuring "Jomon-style open burning."

I'm also from Fujisawa Town, and I used to create artwork in class when I was in kindergarten, elementary school, and junior high school.
The highlight of the festival is the demonstration by local middle school students using the friction heat of a "maigiri" (a type of metal dart) to create fire, reminiscent of modern Jomon people.
The performance combines pottery making with firing in a massive kiln.
Also, various events will be held on a special stage on the 8th.
The works, fired in the kiln throughout the night, were taken out the following morning and awarded the highest prize, the "Shiono Hanjuro Grand Prize."
The awards, including the ones listed above, will be judged.
