Hello, my name is Kazuaki Sasaki, and I'm in charge of maintenance at Hanaizumi Farm.
I joined the company in March of this year. I'm an older guy.
I've heard somewhere that "nothing in life is wasted," but I've come to truly believe that since starting this job.
The flat tire on my bicycle that I fixed as a child. Helping my brother repair his motorcycle. Working as a plumber for a plumbing company. etc. Those experiences are proving incredibly useful now (or at least I feel like they are). Repairing water leaks. Replacing fences. Replacing machine parts. etc.
My past experiences have all served me well in order to do this job. I'm experiencing these kinds of不思議な (mysterious/unusual) things every day.
Currently, I spend my days supporting pig management while also performing maintenance work. Since I'm working inside the pigsty and sometimes right next to the pigs, I'm careful not to drop, throw, or lose any tools or parts.
Right now, there's so much I don't understand, and I'm desperately trying to minimize the trouble I cause.
I truly feel that I've landed a great job, being able to utilize my existing skills, contribute to the company, and help deliver delicious meat to our customers.
We will strive to become a reliable maintenance team as soon as possible.
