Hello everyone! At Ark Kangamori, we've been shearing the sheep in preparation for summer. By shearing the wool that grows in each year, the sheep can live comfortably.

↑The sheep with long wool looks very hot.
First, the sheep are captured and secured, and then their wool is shorn using clippers.

↑After trimming the fur on the front of the belly with clippers, just keep trimming with the clippers.
During this process, the sheep may struggle, so they must be held securely, and their wool is shorn in a single layer, minimizing any damage.
Sheep that have been shorn in this way look cool and refreshing.

Today, we shaved the hair of five horses in this room, and the amount filled three 90-liter plastic bags! That's quite a lot.

With this shearing, this season's shearing is now complete. The shorn sheep are grazing in the paid area of Ark Tategamori, so please come and see them when you visit Ark Tategamori!
