Hello, nice to meet you. My name is Ren Yuki, and I've been assigned to the Fujisawa Farm of the Pig Farming Division since April.
At Fujisawa Farm, we take care of mother pigs and piglets. Newborn piglets are so adorable and always bring us comfort. As the piglets grow, they become more friendly and even more endearing. Mother pigs have even more expressive faces than their piglets, making them very interesting to watch.
I had absolutely no prior knowledge of pig farming, and I was anxious about many aspects of it. However, my senior colleagues, who are unique, interesting, and kind, teach me the daily tasks in a fun and easy-to-understand way.
This is my first time in Iwate Prefecture, my first job, and my first time working in pig farming—so many firsts! But as a member of the pig farming division, I will take responsibility and face life head-on, raising healthy sows and piglets!
Furthermore, as a member of society, I will cherish the learning I receive every day, put it to good use, and work diligently in my duties.
