The other day, two second-year junior high school students from a local school came to our company for a five-day work experience program.

During the period, participants will experience various jobs at Ark Tategamori, including animal care, vegetable management, and grape cultivation.

On the final day, they worked alongside us poultry farm staff in the chicken coop, assisting with egg collection.

You enter a chicken coop filled with many chickens and collect the eggs one by one.

They may have been a little confused at first by the unfamiliar environment, but they continued working with serious expressions while listening to the explanations.

Poultry farming isn't just about collecting eggs.

We observe the chickens, create a healthy environment for them, and deliver safe and delicious eggs to our customers.

Each and every one of those tasks contributes to someone's dinner table.

I hope that through this experience, the two of them will have gained at least a little understanding that "working is also about being useful to someone."

I don't know what paths the two of them will take from here, but I hope that what they experienced during these five days will help them when they think about their future.

We'll be cheering them on from the ranch as they move forward.
