Inspection and corporate training program "Ark Tategamori Recycling-based Agriculture Inspection Plan"

This is an inspection and corporate training program for Ark Tategamori, which practices circular agriculture and tertiary industrialization in order to realize a sustainable future.

We produce organic fertilizer using waste from pig farming, chicken farming, and sheep farming, and residues from restaurants and manufacturing processes, and use that organic fertilizer on our own 30-hectare farmland to grow organic JAS wheat and pesticide-free vegetables. The wheat and vegetables are used in-house, processed into bread and sweets in our bakery, used as ingredients in our restaurants, and delivered to customers nationwide by mail order. We also use the wheat we grow and feed rice grown under contract by a neighboring farmer to produce safer and more reliable feed, which we use in our pig and sheep farming businesses. We use this organic fertilizer when growing feed rice, as well as for growing flowers and gardening.

This is an inspection and corporate training program where you can see these recycling-based agriculture and tertiary industry initiatives first-hand and have staff working there explain the initiatives to you.

The long course is a three hour program that includes lectures and a guided tour of the facilities. There is also a short course (approximately one hour and a half) that is just lectures.
