Ichinoseki's treasures, nurtured by abundant nature
The Yasakae district of Ichinoseki city has long been blessed with abundant nature and has grown delicious rice.
Wakaba Co., Ltd., a member of the Ark Group, has been working with local producers in this blessed land for the past 17 years to tackle a challenge: "Wakaba-style rice cultivation," which aims to cultivate healthy soil.
Environmentally friendly "Wakaba style rice cultivation"
Wakaba-style rice cultivation is not just about providing organic fertilizer.
We conduct detailed soil analysis for each rice field of each producer, create the optimal fertilization plan for that field, and manage the entire process from the initial application to the final application on the rice paddies.
This is because we have a strong desire to work with the local community to produce rice that is environmentally friendly and, above all, safe and secure.
"Recycling agriculture" is not just about Ark Tategamori, but also about working with the local community
Waste and vegetable waste from pig farming, agriculture, and restaurants are used to produce organic fertilizer from young leaves. This organic fertilizer is used to carefully grow "Iyasaka rice" in the rice fields of the Yasaka area. The delicious rice that is harvested is served at Restaurant Tills. It then becomes an ingredient in organic fertilizer again, creating a cycle.
