Recently, Wakaba Co., Ltd., a member of the Ark Group, co-hosted an organic farming study session with Ichinoseki City.

The venue for this event was Kasai Nosan Co., Ltd., a local leader in organic farming, and we co-hosted the event. Approximately 30 participants, many of whom brought their children, learned about organic farming and various other things while harvesting carrots and radishes in an actual organic field! Afterwards, we all used the harvested produce as ingredients for lunch and listened to various stories.

The children were amazed to smell the organic carrots and radishes with freshly harvested soil. Watching the children and their parents competing with each other, saying "This one is bigger," as they experienced farming, was a refreshing and relaxing experience, and I was deeply glad that we held the event.

Of course, I don't think organic farming is everything, and there are naturally many different options for farming styles, producers, and customers. It's important to create a variety of sustainable styles, and within those, I think it's also important to provide options to choose from.

We are also planning to hold an organic farming study session in February.
