This time I would like to write about cold eggs and great cold eggs.

First of all, cold eggs are eggs laid during the period known as Kan-no-uchi (from Kokan to the day before the beginning of spring, which in 2026 would be from January 5th to February 3rd).

Today's chickens have been bred to lay eggs almost every day, but in the past they didn't lay many eggs during the cold season, so eggs laid during the cold season are considered precious.

Eggs laid during the coldest period of the year, known as Daikan (January 20th), are called Daikan eggs. These eggs are even more precious than other cold eggs, and are considered to be lucky charms that bring good fortune and good health.

I tend to get sick a lot, so I want to eat Dahan eggs to help me stay healthy.
