Hello!
This time, from the Marketing DepartmentTransferred to the Manufacturing and Sales Department.I am Nanako Sasaki.
To be honest, I was full of anxiety at first, but every day is filled with new discoveries and is very fulfilling.
Today I'll tell you the truth!
🔄 Changes in job responsibilities!
In my previous department, my work was mainly desk-based, and I had very few opportunities to interact directly with customers.
But since joining the manufacturing and sales department, the "view" of my work has completely changed.
Customer service, stocking shelves, assisting with manufacturing, operating the cash register, displaying products... I was often surprised to learn that all of this was done by hand! The job is incredibly diverse.
😊 The joy of interacting directly with customers
This might be the biggest discovery since I transferred departments.
The moment a customer says "thank you," or when I see the look on their face that says, "That's what I wanted to hear!", a feeling of joy wells up inside me that I can't put into words.
With just a word from me, I can change the customer's expression and get them to pick up our products.
Those are the days I enjoy and am happy about.
I go to work feeling excited, wondering what kind of people I'll meet today.
💪 Stocking shelves is harder than I imagined.
Stocking shelves is quite hard work. Carrying cardboard boxes, opening them, arranging them on the shelves... before you know it, your arms are aching.
But on the other hand, I also feel like I'm relieving stress by moving my body, and the sense of accomplishment afterward is especially great. I'll do my best, thinking of it as strength training! 💪 (lol)
🌙 Cleaning up after closing is surprisingly hard work.
Cleaning up after closing takes more time than I expect. Especially cleaning the Welcome Shop "Kinomi" and preparing for the next day. Cleaning the soft freezer takes time the more carefully I do it, but I can't cut corners when I think about "for tomorrow's customers." I set a target completion time and work every day thinking about how to clean efficiently!
🍦 Wall of soft serve ice cream
And... this is my biggest challenge right now.
I only realized how difficult it is to "swirl" soft-serve ice cream after trying it myself.
I couldn't make a nice vortex at first, and all I could make were misshapen ones, so I searched for tips on YouTube.
But my senior has patiently and carefully guided me—"The key is to not let the distance between the softball's exit and the cup be too far, and to push it up and down a little at the end"—so I'm practicing a little bit every day.
I'll report back on my blog once I've mastered making photogenic soft serve ice cream! That's my goal, and I'll do my best! 🍦✨
🔥 My aspirations for the future
To be honest, I was a little worried at first.
But now, I enjoy this environment where I learn new things every day, make customers happy, and work hard alongside my colleagues.
First and foremost, as a professional in manufacturing and sales, my goal is to make customers think, "I'm glad I asked this person." And also, to be able to make visually appealing soft serve ice cream (lol)!
